INTRODUCTION
1.1
Background
of study :
1. Lack
of understanding about welding steps used OAW (Oxydation Acyteline Welding)
correctly.
2. Lack
of understanding about using safety tools in weldings
1.2
Statement
of Study
1. Does
the welding operator understand about weldings steps appropriate to the correct
produses?
2. How
does understandable of weldings operator conducted to use welding safety tools?
1.3
Purpose
of Study
in general,
this research aims to enable the
students of SMK Muhammadiyah
1 Kepanjen know about
how to weld using
the welding ÖAW correctly
1.4
Significance
of Study
Oxidation Acyteline Weldings(OAW) is manually welding with
heating the metal surface to be welded or connected until melted
by flame acetyline by burning C2H2 with O2 gas with or without filler metal. Joining process can be done by pressure (pressed), so high that could melt metal.

REVIEW OF
RELATED LITERATURE
2.1
Historical
background
About 5000 years ago,
people have been able to establish the connection metal by heating the two
pieces of metal until the critical temperature then both superimposed and then
hammered that eventually form a strong bond. Derived from the combustion heater
fire wood or charcoal. Conceivably, how long will it take to reach temperatures
that can reach critical temperatures heat
metal ... of course this kind of way is not effective for use in welding work
very much and berfariasi. Acetylene gas discovered in 1892 by Thomas Leopard
Wetson. Acetylene and oxygen gas mixture ratio and pressure when burned will
produce enough high
temperatures can melt metal. Oxygen gas can be produced by with drawing the air so pure
oxygen can be taken. This can be done by brins brothers namely the French in
1886. As acetylene gas burners and oxygen called Brander, discovered by Fouche
and Picord. This tool into use in 1901.
Once the electricity is found then the development of welding processes running rapidly. In 1885 welding tools arcs found by Bernardes. Thomas discovered in 1886 with an electrical resistance welding systems. Then in 1926 found by Lungumir hydrogen welding and arc welding with inert gas shield invented by Hobart and Dener. In 1936 Wasserman find ways that have high strength.

Dony Aristanto :
1.
Do you
understand about welding’s steps appropriate to the correct procedures? Please
give one example!
When
welding electrode should position angle should be fit and if we use gas welding
should be done from left to right. and if using electric welding, motion
carried from the right to left
2.
Do you
understand about using safety tools in weldings? Please give one example!
You should use
the time to weld the main tool apron, hammer welding, and mask
3.
What safety tool
does you usually use in weldings?
Apron, hammer welding, and
glasses

CHAPTER IV
RESEARCH, FINDING AND DISCUSSIONS
4.1 General description
of the problems
Welding with oxy - acetylene welding is
a process
in
manually by heating the surface of the metal to be welded or connected by a gas flame until melted through
burning acetylene C2H2 with O2 gas with or without filler metal. process connection to do with the pressure (pressure), so high that can melt metal.
4.2 The solution of the
problems
4.2.1 Weldings
steps appropriate to the correct produses
1
~ Place the
cylindrical (tube) of
oxygen and acetylene
bound to the wall
or on the
stroller in
a safe place.
2
~ Before installing the regulator on
any cylindrical,
cylindrical valve is
opened briefly
and close again
to the hole
and screw free
of dust.
3
~ Install the
regulator in each cylindrical.
4
~ Connect the
garden hose to
the pipe
/ hole expense of
the regulator, and
tighten ties
with the wrench.
5
~ Clean the dust
from the inside of the
hose with the
gas flow to
hose.
6
~ Plug
the other end
of the hose to the
burner.
7
~ Install the
burner mouth, use the
appropriate number
and tighten the knot. 8
~ Open the
lid cylindrical oxygen
and acetylene,
and Check
new pressure
readings monometer content cylindrical (tube).
9
~ Set the
working pressure of
oxygen and
acetylene.
10
~ Close
the valve on
the oxygen and
acetylene burner after working
pressure as desired.
11
~ oxygen
valve on the burner first
opened slightly,
then acetylene valve opening pressure greater than oxygen.
12
~ For
the cutting process, use incendiary cutter
with open
burners welding hose
coupling and
attach to
a hose
cutter burners that
have been opened.
4.2.2 Work
Safety
Equipment
At safety
equipment consists
of:
1. Helmet welding (welding mask),
2. fighting hand
3. Welding clothes (apron)

Point
to protect the

eyes from welding
rays (ultra violet and infra red).
The

should not be seen with the
eye straight up
to 15 meter. Glass

or welding
is a special mask that
can reduce
the beam welding. And special
glass to protect
it from welding sparks, serve
glass clear glass
on the outside.
2. Gloves
Made from soft leather
or asbestos.
To facilitate holding
the electrode holder.
At the time
of welding,
these gloves should
always be worn.
3. Clothes Las (Apron)
3. Clothes Las (Apron)
Made of
leather or asbestos.
Complete welding outfit that can protect
the body and legs
in part.
For overhead welding positions have
to wear a
full welding. While others simply
use a welding
apron.
4. Welding Shoes
Useful
to protect your feet
from the blast of sparks. If
there is no welding
shoes, wear regular
shoes are
tight, not
to concede
easily spark.
5. Welding Rooms
5. Welding Rooms
Welding room made
of fireproof
material. Rooms
welding important, namely
that those
who are around are
not disturbed
by the danger of welding.
To remove the gas, welding room should be equipped with a ventilation system. Welding Room equipped with welding table comes with a free of fire hazards. Placed around the welding room fire extinguishers and sand.
